This 20 minute performance at Radialsystem continues an ongoing body of performance, text, and object-based research into the evolution of labor kinesthesia. The work pulls us back to the origins of industrial and domestic motion efficiency studies developed by Lillian and Frank Gilbreth, categorizing fatigue as 'humanity’s greatest unnecessary waste.'"
Utilizing imprecise timekeeping, anthropomorphic design, and micro-expression scripts, the project reconfigures the Gilberths’ Therblig elemental motions as codes for somatic scores and cognitive prompts to prioritize the human sensory experience over motion waste reduction and productivity.
